Jarod Hynson

President

Jarod started Earth, Turf, & Wood in the spring of 2000. Getting his start with a lawn care company in his teens, his experience spans 35 years in the green industry. His underlying passion is to create well-thought-out outdoor living environments that help create memories for families and friends. Jarod was raised in Central New Jersey, pursued Human Resource Management at Messiah College, and resides in Mohnton, PA.

Jarod enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristy, and their three children, Brianna, Skylar, and Trey. He currently serves on the board of ELANCO School District and enjoys interacting with local organizations such as CrossNet and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. In his spare time, he enjoys just being outdoors, whether vacationing in the Adirondacks or playing with his kids.

Mary Dresser

RLA ASLA, Registered Landscape Architect

Mary Hatch Dresser is a Registered Landscape Architect with a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia School of Environmental Design. Mary has designed landscapes for 43 years and joined ETW exclusively in 2009. Mary is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and both the Planning Commission and Shade Tree Committee in Strasburg Borough, where she resides. Mary prides herself in carefully listening to her clients to professionally meld their ideas and personal criteria with sound, experienced design practice.

In her free time, landscape/gardening and spending quality time with family brings immense joy to Mary’s heart (along with cheering on all sports played by the UGA Dawgs!).

Deb Strickler

Sales

Deb worked in new construction real estate for several years, helping homeowners turn their dreams into reality. She enjoys watching a blank canvas transform into a beautiful space and seeing the joy it brings to her clients. Landscaping and hardscaping have always been Deb’s passion. She loves creating ponds, gardens, pools, seating areas, and fire features—places where families can relax and enjoy. She believes outdoor spaces are more than just part of a home; they are personal oases just steps away.

In her spare time, Deb enjoys relaxing with her husband, Scott, and their French bulldogs. Whether it’s listening to the sound of water, kayaking on the lake or bay, or soaking up the Florida sun, she’s happiest when she’s outdoors.

Erin Gonzalez

Marketing Intern

Erin is a junior at Kutztown University, where she is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing. Born and raised in Lancaster County, she has always had a love for the outdoors where she can spend quality time with family and friends. Erin is passionate about showcasing the beauty and craftsmanship behind our landscape and hardscape projects through creative marketing.

Outside of work, she is a member of the Kutztown University field hockey team and enjoys helping grow the sport among local youth.

ALEX BALDWIN

ESTIMATOR

Alex’s interest in the landscape industry started when he was 12 years old while maintaining the lawns of multiple clients in his neighborhood. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from West Virginia University. He has held numerous job titles within the landscape industry over the years, and it brings him great joy to help clients achieve their hardscape and landscape design dreams.

Alex was born and raised in Lancaster County and recently returned home in 2022 after living on the West Coast for the last decade. He enjoys spending his free time in nature with his wife, Kim, and their three children.

Zach

Production Manager

Zach started with Earth, Turf, & Wood in 2012, and he has a passion for bringing clients’ hardscape and landscape dreams to reality. In addition to his time in the landscape industry, Zach spent nine years in the Army and Army Reserves.

Outside of work, Zach enjoys spending time with his wife working around their home, and any free time they have is spent out on the water boating and fishing.

Chris

PROJECT MANAGER

Chris's introduction to the landscape construction trade started at a very early age, building masonry walls out of fieldstone at his childhood home with his father and grandfather.  He has generations of stone masons and bricklayers in his family and was lucky enough to learn the tricks of the trade from very well-experienced masons.  He started landscaping for a living in 1997 and opened his own landscaping business in 2007, and operated for 12 years.



Chris joined ETW in 2021 and loves the meticulous nature of what we do here.  While not at work, Chris loves to spend his time with his daughter Alexandra and girlfriend Marie. The three of them love the outdoors,  and enjoy all outdoor sports, as well as hiking, kayaking, and finding new adventures.

Kendall

Project Manager & GROW Specialist

Kendall’s interest in landscaping started at a young age as he grew up helping his dad with landscaping projects for friends, family, and their church. Since then, he has earned an Associate’s Degree in Landscape & Horticulture Technology from Pennsylvania College of Technology, where he further developed his knowledge of plants, design concepts, and hardscape techniques. After initially working for Earth, Turf, & Wood during a couple of summer breaks, he's been employed full-time by the company since 2020. He enjoys making clients' visions become a reality.

Kendall and his wife, Dawn, live in Mohnton, PA, and enjoy spending time outdoors, especially hiking and camping, as well as being involved in their church.

Bryan

Project Manager

Since 2007, Bryan has been working on all types of landscaping and hardscaping projects, big and small. Each project's unique aspects fuel his continued passion for creating spaces our clients regularly enjoy.

Bryan resides in Marietta and loves spending family time outdoors with his two children and girlfriend, Lauren. He also loves to fish any chance he can get.
